SKILLED WORKER (4-2) WELDER
Position Overview
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the above vacant positions in the Distribution Division of Harare Water Department.
Job Purpose
Responsible for providing hands-on support in the fabrication, assembly, maintenance and repair of workshop equipment and water infrastructure components.
Key Performance Areas
Installation and repair of water handling machinery and equipment.
Fabrication, installation and repair of main trunks steel pipes.
Development and fabrication of steel pipes and pipe specials.
Fabrication of burglar bars, screens, steel structures and general fabrications.
Welding repairs to pumps, water pipes at various stations and installations.
Welding repairs to trucks, earthmoving plant and equipment.
Performance Management.
Qualifications and Experience
Skilled Worker (4) Welding Certificate Grade 12
Skilled Worker (3) Welding Certificate Grade 11
Skilled Worker (2) Welding Certificate Grade 10
Ordinary Level
3 years post qualification experience in a related environment
