Building Permits & Spatial Planning
Any new building construction, structural extension, or land development in Harare must receive prior approval from the Department of Works to ensure compliance with Model Building By-laws.
Submission Checklist
- Three sets of complete architectural drawings signed by a registered architect
- Structural engineering calculations (for multi-story or commercial structures)
- Certified Copy of Title Deed and Survey Diagram
- Proof of plan scrutiny fee payment
