OPERATOR
Position Overview
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the above vacant positions in the Production, Distribution and Waste Water Divisions of the Harare Water Department
Job Purpose
Responsible for construction and maintenance of water and sewer reticulation system.
Key Performance Areas
• Executes all necessary excavations and preparatory works for the Plumber to work on
• Reservoir cleaning
• Maintenance of grounds and work place environment
• Loading and offloading materials and equipment
• Scrubs flow channels, grit channels, bio filters, loading grit at intake and cleaning all associated waste water structures
• De-chocking, blockage removal of sewer lines and manholes
• Scouring, desilting and assists in manhole construction
Qualifications and Experience
• Secondary school certificate
• Knowledge of Council operations will be an added advantage
• Physically fit
• At least two (2) years of service in Council

Compensation
