HARARE – Deputy Mayor Cllr Rosemary Muronda has urged residents of Ward 7 to take full responsibility for maintaining a clean environment, emphasizing that cleanliness should be a daily practice rather than a once-off event. The Deputy Mayor who was speaking during the National Clean-Up Day at Ballantyne Shopping Centre commended the level of community involvement, describing it as encouraging and vital for building a clean, safe and healthy environment. She called on residents in all areas to actively participate in clean-up initiatives and to ensure they maintain both the frontage and back areas of their homes and businesses. Deputy Mayor Muronda joined residents, stakeholders and City of Harare employees in a coordinated effort to clean the area. The Deputy Mayor also warned against littering, noting that it not only harms the environment but also attracts penalties and fines.
