Harare City handball teams are confident of success ahead of the resumption of the second of the second phase of the 2022-23 season.
Both teams scooped silver medals last season and the teams are expected to surpass that if their current form is anything to go by.
The Harare City Handball team has been playing well and managed to score impressive results in the first half of the season.
Both the male and female handball teams have been at their best in terms of performance making them qualify to play in the league’s last game of the season.
The teams’ Secretary General, Jabulani Mafanya said they are expecting nothing short of gold this season.
“With the teams’ current performance, we are sure that we will play well and finish at the top,” he said.
He is confident that his teams will come out as victors in their last matches and he expects nothing less than the first position.
The dedication of the team to the game landed them a spot at the Club Championships that will be held in Italy later this year where they will fly the country’s flag.
The Handball season ends in March and the team has to be solid in preparation for the July tournament in Italy.
There have not been any new additions to the team because the window for new signings is still closed.
