As the City joins the world in celebrating women month, the Sunshine News features a council female employee Eng Faith Maidei Kashangura.
Eng Faith Maidei Kashangura is a Strategist, a Coach, Trail blazer and a Technocrat launching the Geospatial profession into the 21st century by elevating the Geographical Information Technology and being the hub of Geospatial knowledge.
Eng Kashangura is a Registered Land Surveyor in Zimbabwe in terms of the Land Surveyors Act, Chapter [27:06] becoming the first female registered Land Surveyor in Zimbabwe; Ex officio Commissioner of Oaths in all districts in Zimbabwe in terms of Justices of Peace and Commissioners of Oaths Act, Chapter [7:09]. She is also registered by the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe as a professional Engineer in the Field of Surveying and Geomatics Engineering.
She holds a MSc Geo-Information Science & Earth Observation from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. She also holds a BSC Honours Degree in Geo-Informatics & Surveying from the University of Zimbabwe
Eng Faith Maidei Kashangura is the City of Harare acting Land Management and Development Manager in the Department of Works responsible for Land Surveying and Mapping, Geographic Information System application in data collection storage and Management and Development Control and Regulation.
Eng Kashangura also served as the CHAIR: Affiliations Committee, Survey Institute of Zimbabwe, The Honorary Secretary, Survey Institute of Zimbabwe, the Chair: Building Committee, United Methodist Church, Mabelreign Circuit and as a Committee Member: African Institute of Agrarian Studies (AIAS) Land Tenure Dialogue.
Aged 44, Eng Kashangura is a wife and a mother to five children.
