Belarus is set to provide Zimbabwe with 131 fire trucks and will also offer training for rescuing team at a discounted fee.
The team visited to assess the condition of fire equipment.
Belarus leader of the delegation of Mr Ivan Palevoda director of the university of Civil Protection, Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus said, “131 fire trucks are on its way to Zimbabwe and also Republic of Belarus will offer training for the rescue team at a discounted fee cooperation between the two governments."
"We operate from five stations in the City but 10 is requirement for the city. Our duty is to save lives and protect property from destruction from fire, to do awareness campaigns on fire prevention and protection training of both fire and ambulance personnel," said Chief fire officer Lovemore Mafukidze.
