HEAD: LEGAL SERVICES
Position Overview
The City of Harare is inviting applications from highly qualified, strategic, and experienced legal professionals to fill the position of Head: Legal Services. Reporting directly to the Chamber Secretary, the incumbent will oversee and lead the Council’s legal portfolio, providing expert legal advisory services, managing complex litigation, drafting and reviewing legal instruments and contracts, and safeguarding the local authority’s legal and statutory interests across all operations.

Key Performance Areas
- Bachelor of Laws (LLBS) Honours Degree from a recognized university.
- Master of Laws (LL.M), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or relevant Master's Degree.
- Registered Legal Practitioner and Member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe (LSZ).
- Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in legal practice or corporate legal environment, at least 5 years of which must be at a senior managerial level.
- Proven expertise in Municipal/Local Government Law, Administrative Law, Commercial Litigation, and Public Procurement law.
Qualifications and Experience
