Harare City Council has lined up three separate pre 2017 budget consultative meetings with different interest groups to invite input into next year’s budget.

The first meeting to be held on 12 September involves residents associations, civic groups and nongovernmental organisations.

Government Ministries and departments will be in attendance.

Pandhari Hotel is the venue.

The second meeting with business leaders will be held on Thursday 15 September at a city hotel.

The third workshop takes place on Friday 16 September at Town House with women’s groups and the youth.

Satellite towns that derive services from Harare will also participate in the workshops

“The city wants to get the input of all key stakeholders so that we have a consensus budget. We want the full participation of stakeholders,” said Acting Corporate Communications Manager Michael Chideme.
