Harare City Council has unveiled an investment policy as the drive to attract investment in the capital gathers momentum.
Council is going full throttle to woo investors and make Harare the investors’ destination of choice.
The policy augments the Ease of Doing Business concept and the Rapid Results Initiative.
The policy helps to mobilise and attract investors and also drive the city’s agenda of becoming a world class city by 2025.
Acting Town Clerk Mrs Josephine Ncube reported presented the policy to council which subsequently adopted the framework.
“An investment desk will be set up in the Town Clerk’s Office where the incumbent would be responsible for spearheading the investment initiatives. Investment incentives would be awarded by the office of the Town Clerk based on the magnitude of such incentives within the parameters approved by council,” she said
