Ward 41 Councillor Kudzai Kadzombe has commended the great work being done in her ward by a private organisation, Dawn Properties.
Clr Kadzombe's comments follow the groundbreaking ceremony held at Marlborough Sunset Views where a total of 354 residential stands measuring 2000sqm each will be sold starting January 2020.
"It is a huge development which fits perfectly well into our vision as a City of achieving a world class city status by 2025," said Clr Kadzombe.
Speaking during the ground breaking ceremony of the residential stands, Dawn Properties Chairman Mr Phibion Gwatidzo said the development marks the second major development after the completion of Elizabeth Windsor Gardens in Malborough.
"This ZWL$200 million new housing project close to the new parliament building is expected to deliver superior returns to our shareholders.
"We will endeavour to play an active role in developing the ecosystem that ensures a quality lifestyle for residents. This will include but not limited to shopping centres, schools and churches," said Mr Gwatidzo.
The chairman also said they will through their contractor deliver high quality roads, water drainage systems and fully reticulated water and electricity systems.
Dawn Properties Managing Director Mr Patrick Matute said the project is targeting first time home buyers and the diaspora market.
