Harare Central Business District built up space is soon going to have a major facelift following approval by council for the construction of several world class buildings that include the majestic expansion of the Legacy Hotel (Crown Plaza Hotel).
Guided by fatherly wisdom city councillors decided that Harare should be like any other world class city whose CBD space is built up with a lot of tall buildings.
Legacy plans to construct a one thousand seater conference centre on part of the land as well as a shopping mall, gym and a car park to spruce up the facility.
The hotel will also help in maintaining Les Brown Swimming Pool and the entire Harare Gardens in line with brand’s international standards.
The city’s 2025 vision requires the establishment of world class facilities and services around the capital.
Other major construction projects recently approved include bus interchanges at the Simon Muzenda Bus Rank, Market Square and Copacabana.
